Christian Fuchs  пресъздава – до съвършенство – портретите на свои предци

Selfportrait representing my maternal Third Great Aunt Doña Enriqueta Elespuru y Martínez de Pinillos de González Pinillos (1831-1878) Enriqueta was born in 1831 in the city of Trujillo, Peru, as the fifth daughter of Marshal Don Juan Bautista Elespuru y Montes de Oca and his wife Doña Natividad Martínez de Pinillos Cacho y Lavalle. Like her sisters, she was highly appreciated in her time for her grace and beauty. Poets and writers like Clemente de Althaus and Blest Gana have dedicated many poems to her. She died relatively young because of a strange illness that left her blind and immobile. The portrait of Enriqueta Elespuru y Martínez de Pinillos was painted in Paris around 1860. #themanwhodressesupashisancestors #photoportrait #photography #photoessay #cosplay #christianfuchs #christianfuchsartist #costume #amazing #transformation #recreation #period #roots #familytree #family #familysearch #familyresearch #dressup #romantic #romanticportrait #art #arte #kunst #dna #ancestry #ancestors #ahnen #peru #paris #europe

Self portrait representing Sophie Buschmann née Volkmar, my fifth great Aunt. The original painting was made by the famous Cornelius Suhr in Hamburg. Sophie Volkmar was born in Rinteln an der Weser in 1803 into a musical family as the daughter of Adam Valentin Volkmar, German musician and composer. She married Christian Friedrich Buschmann, Inventor of the Harmonica on March 17, 1833. After their wedding, the young couple embarked on a Terpodion concert tour of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Holland and Belgium. On a business trip to London they were able to sell Prince Albert a Terpodion and Sophie was personally invited by Queen Victoria. #themanwhodressesupashisancestors #bbc #bbcworld #mmmexplore #roots #family #lineage #performance #photoperformance #art #contemporaryart #harmonica #mundharmonika #friedrichroda #rinteln #23andme #queenvictoria #london #hamburg #germany #kunst #portrait #selfportrait #costume #cosplay #artist #christianfuchsartist #artofvisuals

Photographic Selfportrait as my third Great Grandfather Carl Schilling, The Patriarch. Carl Philipp Schilling (1831-1923) was my Grandmother's Great Grandfather and the founder of the Schilling Family in Chile. He was born on July 20, 1831 in Oedelsheim an der Weser near Kassel. He was a nineteen old bachelor when he decided to leave his country for good. It took him and many hessian and thuringian families three months to cross the South Atlantic and pass by Cape Horn until they reached the Pacific Ocean, a long and dangerous trip. On December 2, 1850 Carl arrived at the port of Corral near Valdivia. In 1851 he moved to Osorno. Later he worked as Estate manager at the Estate "Misión de Cuinco" that belonged to the german immigrant Eduard Buschmann. He married Eduard Buschmann's daughter Johanna in 1856 and bought the Estate. Carl Schilling distinguished himself by his altruism, his solidarity and social engagement. In 1854 he was one of the founders of the German School of Osorno, the second eldest German School worldwide. He was a member of the German Society and of the Protestant Church of Osorno. On his 90th Birthday he donated a remarkable amount of money to the German School of Osorno. He died on September 29, 1923 in Osorno at the estate Misión de Cuinco aged 93. He was highly esteemed and the community paid tribute to his commitment. #themanwhodressesupashisancestors #BBC #christianfuchs #christianfuchsartist #germany #osorno #chile #portrait #germanculture #selfportrait #photography #photoessay #ancestry #costume #cosplay #transformation #contemporaryart #familytree #roots #dna #generation #familytree #kunst #arte #renacimiento #reenactment #callaomonumental #fugaz #geni #memory

Johann David Buschmann (1775-1852) Photographic self portrait. 2018 Reinterpretation of the portrait of Johann David Buschmann, my fifth great Grandfather. Johann David Buschmann was born in Friedrichroda, Thuringia. He invented the "Terpodion", a keyboard instrument which produces sound using the same friction principle as the glass harmonica. The original name of the instrument was "Uranion" but after a visit Johann David made to the Duke August of Saxony-Gotha the name was changed to "Terpodion Labesang" at suggestion of the Duke. The original portrait of Johann David Buschmann was made in Hamburg by the famous Cornelius Suhr. #themanwhodressesupashisancestors #selfportrait #performance #transformation #photoessay #cosplay #christianfuchs #christianfuchsartist #costume #recreation #newworks #period #biedermeier #roots #familytree #family #familysearch #ancestry #dressup #romantic #art #arte #contemporaryart #music #musicinstrument #germany #gotha #saxony #inventor #dna
