Two years ago, as I unsuccessfully faffed in the kitchen with some watermelon, Boy Dom (thanks to the profanities that echoed around the house 🤬😂)sensed my frustration and suggested that we “do another one of those matchy images, but instead use the watermelon”. It was less than a week since we posted the very first #allthatisthree image and back then I truly believed that if you didn’t post completely fresh content and repeated an idea you’d be chased off Instagram. It would be Instagram sacrilege. How wrong was I? That’s right, yesterday was #allthatisthree’s second birthday. So, we decided to recreate one of our firsts (I‘ve reposted the original on my Stories). I’d also like to say Happy Father’s Day to the one and only Boy Dom. He may not be visible on my feed much (and when he is, he’s been physically forced by me), but he’s very present and visible behind the scenes and without him All That Is She wouldn’t be what it is today. Whether it be in business, life, or as parents, we’re a team – and a formidable one at that. Thank you for being awesome: to me, to the girls, (maybe not to Elvis as I know you both don’t see eye to eye 😂), and to the family. We love you.

And just as I was dreaming of spring days and warm weather (the birds tweeting at 5pm the other night made my tummy flip with excitement), a polar vortex now threatens to swoop in and ruin it all. Oh well, I figured the best way to get through it is to book some summer activities; so me, Dom and the girls are off to see George Ezra at Dalby Forest in June. Then it got me thinking, I’m wondering if a festival might also be a good shout. I’ve got two massive music lovers (and I’m determined to broaden their music tastes passed rave and The Stick Song), but with Glastonbury skipping a year, where else is good for families? #allthatisthree And nope, I don’t have grey streaks in my hair. This is a repost of one of the earliest #allthatisthree that we did at the magical @northstarclub

9 months later and Penny is still into her 60s music, especially Penny Lane (or Penny Jane as she likes to refer to it 😉). And Amelia is still very much loving her experience of 60s fashion. #allthatisthree Okay, so bit of a parent discussion now. What is your thoughts on making kids say sorry if they’ve done something wrong or have been naughty? I’m genuinely interested in how parents from around the world tackle this. Do you make them say sorry no matter what or is it not a big deal in your home and they can show their remorse in other ways? I know we Brits are renowned for saying sorry a lot, almost to a point of going overboard with it, so I’d love to hear what your views on it are. *EDIT: The reason I’m asking this is because after Penny misbehaved today (being mean to her cousin), I took her out of the situation and we sat in a bedroom until she’d calmed down. Eventually she did and I asked her to say sorry and explained why I was asking her to do so. It then took her another 15 minutes – during this time there were lots of cuddles and kisses from her – before she would say it. So, at one point, I did wonder whether I should be forcing her to do it. Hence my question to you 😁

Because I can’t get enough of that squishy little face or get over how much Amelia has changed in just a few short months. What that squishy little face doesn’t know is that she’s going to see the ‘real’ Mary Poppins at Disneyland Paris in May with the family. The plan is to tell her the day before we leave, maybe even the morning of because she has no concept of time right now, so I don’t think any of us could bear the daily “is it Disneyland time yet?” over breakfast, every morning 😁. But also, the thought of the excitement and the thrill of being whisked away to a magical place within 24hours sounds like a good plan too. An old work colleague once told me that when she was younger, her parents woke her up crazy early one morning and told her that she was going to London to see Michael Jackson that day. Can you imagine? I adored Michael Jackson when I was a kid (I was obsessed), so although the car journey would’ve been torturous for anyone with me (“are we there yet?” shouted over MJ’s back catalogue), it would’ve been my childhood dream. It’s a story that stayed with me and an reveal that I always wanted to do one day with my kids, if I could keep the secret long enough. I can’t give them MJ, but I can do Disney ☺️. Have you ever surprised your kids with something magical?

So, I’ve got to be honest, we decided and prepped this idea earlier in the week after looking at the weather forecast which, at the time, threatened us with days and days of rain. But, here we are, on Sunday, and it’s still sunshine and blue skies outside. Could the unimaginable have happened? Could the rain have simply ‘forgot’ about the North East for a change? Swerved us and headed elsewhere? Probably not. So when it does eventually turn up, just imagine us three looking like this. Has the weather ever scuppered your Instagram photo plans? 😉☔️ #allthatisthree Thank you to @beyond_the_stork for making our raincoat allthatisthree idea come true. #gifted This is also a gentle reminder that my Instagram e-course ‘All That Is Instagram’ will be opening for presale tomorrow (eeek!). Email subscribers will be the first to know when it goes live, so if you’re not already signed up but you want to enrol, click the link in my bio. There’s more information about the course there too. Hope to see you there!

‘Orange’ you glad to see us 😉🍊 #WHPshapes • • Amelia was given a pack of affirmation cards this week, and one of the cards in the pack encourages you to list all the things in your life that you’re grateful for – so we did. Of course, it’s been a pretty special weekend for the All That Is She gang all around, so I’m incredibly grateful for that, and for my family and friends, but it’s also nice to think of all the small pleasures in life. The parts that could be overlooked or even seen as insignificant, but if they suddenly vanished or weren’t available to you, you’d be really sad about it. So, for me, today I’m grateful for that ice-cold glass of juice that I enjoyed in my newly finished garden, while lying in the sun. I’m also grateful for these deliciously juicy oranges that not only were the perfect #allthatisthree prop, but were also the perfect snack in the Sunday sun. Fancy sharing what you’re grateful for today and making this the happiest, most uplifting comment feed ever? 😉😁
